I was recently reading a few articles and came across a very interesting one. There was a recent competition for visualization of federal budget data. The winner has some pretty interesting visualizations around how much the federal government spends compared to what type of media coverage those items get.
This is my favorite one is posted below. It shows how the top two spenders of the federal budget are actually at the bottom of the stack when it comes to media coverage.
