It's Sad Really

by Taft Babbitt on January 19, 2010

Watching this fight over health care / insurance reform has made me sad. I feel like I am watching my house burn down, while the Democrats who have the water hose are maddeningly watering the lawn to put out the fire, while the Republicans are struggling to get the hose away from them. Unfortunately, I have low confidence that once the Replublicans get the hose they would indeed save the house. I wouldn't be supprised if they started spraying the fence.

I agree with your thinking and wonder what we as the "one" person can do to bring attention to our home burning.  While we all are trying to live in the burning homes...
we have our families, jobs, illness, and food to keep out of the flames and no one is noticing that part.  The grass maybe getting greener and then the fence, like you said, could be the next noticed.  When is it going to be our turn.  There has to be a way for us to make our cause bigger and more important (then the grass or even the fence)  Help!!!  The future looks scary but we as a people (in this free and wonderful country) have to  "get the hose" in our hands.  Now the question is... how do we go about doing that?  Lets stay strong!!!!
